The Cajun Visitor Center is an approximately 7,500 square foot building constructed on 57 driven pre-cast piles that underwent significant settlement after construction. Magnum Geo-Solutions mitigated this settlement by stabilizing and lifting the building, using wide steel angle brackets attached to cap sill beams, and 4.5” diameter steel piling installed by jacking. Four piles with brackets were installed around each existing driven pre-cast pile for a total of 228 piles. After a successful installation, the piles were then fitted with a lifting ram, which re-leveled the building
